Method
- Preheat the oven to 200C/400F.
- Line a baking pan with a baking sheet.
- Combine the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, chili pepper, and brown sugar in a bowl.
- Toss the wings with the spice rub until they’re coated.
- Arrange the wings in a baking pan and drizzle with oil.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165F.
Notes
- Storage: Store the cooled wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Freezing: Let the wings cool completely, place them in a freezer bag, and freeze them for up to 3 months.
- Reheat: Bake the wings at 350F/175C for 5-6 minutes or until warm. Alternatively, you can air fry them at 375F/190C for 4-5 minutes.
- Variations: Add more heat by incorporating cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce into the mix.
- Toss in a sauce: After baking, toss the wings in a sauce like sugar-free BBQ sauce or hot honey sauce for added flavor.
