Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Milk of choice, nondairy creamer, or heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice and optional zest of one lemon
  • 3 1/2 tbsp Cornstarch or 5 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp Butter or olive oil
  • 1 tsp Minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • optional Parmesan or nutritional yeast as desired
  • 8 oz Pasta or whatever you wish to go with the sauce

Equipment

  • Wooden Spoon
  • Whisk

Method
 

  1. Whisk the cornstarch into the milk until completely dissolved.
  2. Add in lemon juice and zest.
  3. Stir in butter, minced garlic, and salt.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil over low-medium heat.
  5. Once boiling, stir constantly until thickened.
  6. Turn off heat, adjust seasoning as desired.
  7. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  8. Combine pasta with sauce and serve.

Notes

  • Tip 1: Use leftover lemon juice to make a refreshing lemon mousse.
