Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 4 large pieces matzah crackers, each cut into 6 pieces
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles of choice

Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Wooden Spoon

Method

  1. Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 60 seconds, stopping to stir halfway through the cooking time. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate over a small pot filled one inch up with boiling water, stirring until melted, which takes about 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Using a spoon, drizzle the melted chocolate over half of the matzah and place it on a sheet of parchment paper.
  3. While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the dipped pieces of matzah with sprinkles and allow the chocolate to cool for about 20 minutes.

Notes

  • Chocolate Hack: For shinier chocolate that hardens quickly, feel free to add a couple teaspoons of coconut oil to the chocolate chips to make DIY Magic Shell.
  • Sprinkle Quickly: While the chocolate is still warm, get out your sprinkles and go to town. If you wait too long, the chocolate will harden and the sprinkles will have a hard time sticking.
