Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 3 green onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons tamari or soy sauce
  • 20 wonton wrappers square
  • toasted sesame oil for brushing
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1-2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lime zest plus 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • 2 tablespoons chopped Thai basil or cilantro

Method
 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix thoroughly until well-blended.
  3. 3. To assemble, spoon about 1 rounded teaspoon of filling onto each wonton wrapper. Brush water around the edges of the wrapper and seal.
  4. 4. Place the assembled Rangoons on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with toasted sesame oil.
  5. 5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
  6. 6. Prepare the dipping sauce by combining honey, ketchup, chili sauce, lime zest, lime juice, and rice vinegar in a bowl.
  7. 7. Serve warm, topped with extra green onions.
