Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a standard 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a small bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, poppy seeds, baking powder, and salt.
In a larger bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Mix in the vanilla extract and almond extract. Pour in the milk and sour cream, mixing until combined.
Slowly stir in the dry ingredients just until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Once baked, cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
